In the realm of Baldur's Gate 3, your first task is shaping your Tav, and that kicks off with picking a race. Unless you’re one of those Elf-lovers, the choice can be a bit of a head-scratcher. But fear not! Each race gets a chance to tout its virtues. Give a good listen to their spiel, and find the one that truly speaks to your desire to play!

This brief interactive video game serves as both a playful satire and a heartfelt homage to the extraordinary experience that is BG3. Using screenshots, screen recordings, AI-generated content and animations, it endeavors to imagine the character creation dialogues of various playable species. It’s important to note that this experiment deliberately eschews political correctness and inclusivity, aiming for a lighthearted exploration of the stereotypes inherent in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. This endeavor is purely for entertainment purposes, and it’s advised not to take it seriously. It is an unfinished experience and new species and dialogues are added weekly.

The aim of this interactive experience is to assess the effectiveness of using interactive videos for developing engaging story-based games and learning modules. The goal is to replace mundane microlearning modules in the corporate realm with a more immersive and playful learning experience.

To play the game, start the video, select your gender (currently only female is available) and explore the options by clicking on the race icons. If an icon is red, it indicates that the content hasn't been created yet. If the icon is yellow, you can click on it to explore that particular species.

Currently available content includes Elves, Tieflings, Drow, Dwarves, Half-Elves and Half-Orcs. Enjoy the experience, share your thoughts and let us know what we should further include!

Some of the descriptions is a bit cringe though.

Thanks for the comment. That's most probably true as it's based on D&D lore and BG3 conversation styles. If you've been playing the BG3 game, and more specifically the Dark Urge character, these may still sound soft to your ear.

Could you give an example of what you consider as a cringing description?
